UMag is proud to announce the completion of a drone magnetic gradiometer survey for Amprion across the 4 km wide intertidal area between mainland Germany and the island of Norderney.

The operation was carried out safely and efficiently with our V2Mag gradiometer system being towed 1-2m above daily low tide water level. With a proven detection capability of a 50 kg object of at least 10 m, we mapped geotechnical installations and potential UXO objects throughout the entire area, including in the deeper Riffgarten drainage channel.

The campaign shows that km-wide shallow coastal and intertidal areas can now be efficiently mapped using high quality drone borne magnetometer systems. Get in touch with us if you want to know more.

Surveys for the future.
